World Wish Day

World Wish Day is celebrated every year on April 29 started by  worldwish.org. It is a day to make wishes for a better world. Join in the celebrations and make your own wish for a better world. You can also join in the international campaign to end violence against children. The campaign asks everyone to make a world wish for every child’s right to safety and peace. So let’s all make a wish for a better world on World Wish Day!

What is World Wish Day

World Wish Day is celebrated annually on April 29 to commemorate the day when the first-ever Make-A-Wish Foundation grant was made. The Make-A-Wish Foundation is a non-profit organization that helps terminally ill children fulfill their final wishes.

World Wish Day history

The Make-A-Wish Foundation was founded in 1980 after a young boy named Chris Greicius wished to be a police officer. His wish inspired others to start granting wishes for terminally ill children and the Make-A-Wish Foundation was born.

Since then, the Make-A-Wish Foundation has granted over 350,000 wishes worldwide. World Wish Day is celebrated annually on 29th March to commemorate the day when the first-ever Make-A-Wish Foundation grant was made.
