In a gist, the story of the novel is about an experiment that came to life after a bolt of lightning struck a stitched cadaver. Dr. Frankenstein was then able to discover a way of giving life to the dead. The book referred to the monster as “The Creature”. However, the doctor was repulsed by his own creation, to which after he created, he himself scarily flee.
As the novel progresses, the Creature wandered and was able to learn to write, read, and speak. It was able to do so after finding some books in the woods where it stayed. It was able to befriend a blind father in a cottage. The blind man introduced the creature to the family. However, the creature was rejected again. Because of rage, the monster threw a fit into the cottage and burned it.
