4 March National Sons Day

Each member of the family contributes something to the betterment of the family’s life. Sons are just as important as parents and daughters. They usually give life to the family. They are usually the ones who get trained by their fathers in order to be able to fix things, carry heavy things, and so on. We have different kinds of holidays for family members including Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Grandparent’s Day, and even National Daughters Day. But of course, there is one for sons called National Sons Day.National Sons Day

About the National Sons Day

During the National Sons Day, people conduct various activities that let them achieve the objectives of this day. Of course, parents greet their sons at the start of this day. They also treat them nice by giving them their favorite foods or most wanted things. They also shout out on social media how proud they are of their sons during this day.

The National Sons Day was created by Jill Nico in . She wanted to stress the significance and importance of sons raised by parents and in turn, taking care of their parents once they grow old. Jill Nico selected the date of the event as the 4th of March for no apparent reason.

Long before the year , there was an effort to make National Sons Day during the late 1990s. The endeavor was started so that there will be a celebration synonymous with the National Take Your Daughters to Work Day. in 1998, the National Take Your Sons Day to work was celebrated by a group of people.

As mentioned earlier, National Sons Day is celebrated every March 4 each year.

Why Celebrate

The following are the main reasons why you should participate in the celebration of the National Sons Day:

To Train the Boys

Though fortunately enough, gender roles are switching – things that only boys do are being done by girls and vice versa – there are still a lot of important lessons that we must teach our boys. There are standards that must be set so that our boys can learn important things that will be useful in our lives. Hence, you must celebrate the National Sons Day to achieve this goal.

For Emotional support

Boys are often portrayed as people who do not need more emotional support unlike girls do. But this is not true. As human beings, they do feel emotions and that they are not immune to emotional distress. With that being said, you must celebrate this day to raise awareness about this fact so that people will start to value the emotional support being given to men.

To Teach Them Boys a Lesson

You should also celebrate this day to teach your sons lessons that will be valuable in their lives. As years go by, a lot of things change and they won’t stop. Hence, you might want to exert effort when it comes to teaching your son a thing or two about life. And a good opportunity for you to do this is by celebrating this day.

Celebration ideas and Activities

The following are the best things to do to make your celebration of the National Sons Day as best as it can be:

Treat Your Son to Good Food

One good idea for your celebration of this day is to treat your son to good food. It would be wise if you can prepare your son’s most favorite dish made by yours and surprise him on his special day. Give him a hug and greet him on this special day.
